What somewhat sickens me is that after pretty much ignoring the guy during the election, Fox News is now all to happy to use him to perpetuate their own Republican agenda
lol I was just thinking the very same thing as the first post when watching this vid. Bottom line is McCain would have proposed a similar stimulus package to that of Obama's which Ron Paul would have been equally critical of. Only then Fox news wouldn't have Ron Paul on to explain how damaging and idiotic such a plan is.
Our economic problem that we have is not an adolescent "demo- repub" thing. Don't detract with that nonsensical jabbering. It was created by the Fed. govt. and the Fed's irresponsible monetary policies. If a demo were saying what Ron paul is saying, I would be backing him all the way. Obama has no magic wand. His stimulus plan will do just the opposite of what he says it will do. The Fed govt. is standing in the way of renewed prosperity.
I believe if the election season were to start today (post credit crisis), Ron Paul would receive serious (re)consideration by the people and perhaps the republican nomination. Real change will not happen until after the Obama presidency when people realize what real change means.
Am I to believe that you mean then that "real change will not happen until after Obama's presidency?" I assume you mean after his first 4 years? I believe that his plan will harm the economy and after that happens his only out will be to keep blaming Bush or whatever. The arrogance of these people will surface. There is no way that you are going to get him to admit that his "stimulus plan" did not work. In 4 years he will be blaming someone, believe me, and he will not be blaming himself or the govt.
Exactly, just like FDR in the '30s, he kept blaming the Depression on Hoover and capitalism, but not on his flawed policies. It was the dissolution of FDRs policies that created the boom of the '50s and '60s, not WWII or any of the anti-free market policies of FDR...
