Always up to date with the latest of Jim Rogers, John Stossel, Marc Faber, Peter Schiff and Ron Paul!
Altough I am not very liberal and I am against drugs. I believe that everyone should make his own mistakes and I don't think that the government has the right to ban certain drugs and allow other drugs (tabacco, alochol). And by the way look at other countrys where marijuana is legalized for example in the netherlands. The use of marijuana rates there are lower then in the United States while it is here illigal. Thats just stupid.
A lot of people smoke weed, face it. It's not going away, the federal government will not eradicate it. I do not smoke it now, haven't in ten years, but I do know that people's behavior under the influence of pot is much more mellow and reserved as compared to drunks. It's simple; send the power to regulate and criminalize pot back to the states. It's time to start throttling back the federal goverment's power.

I like Baldwin, he's a good actor, but he was way out of his league debating Ron Paul. To be fair though, wanting to keep marijuana illegal while allowing alcohol and cigarettes wasn't exactly a easy or logical arguement.
Ron Paul is probably the sole unboughten and among the best informed members of Congress, not least on medical issues. His comments here, as always, show it.Two questions: 1) what are Baldwin's qualifications? 2) What's he on?
Although not mentioned by either candidate, DUI in Australia is done both for alcohol and drug use, so there's no question that it can be controlled from a safety perspective. Personally, I haven't seen any people wanting to start fights after smoking a joint. There are far more dangerous drugs (amphetimenes for a start) to worry about.
my son in law is a legalized grower in california. he got cancer at 26 years old and uses it for pain relieve and the oil concentrate to keep the cancer in check. Everyone knows that ingesting the oil concentrate prevents and sometimes cures certain cancerscer. It is a 3000 year old medicinal drug that the big pharm does not want people to use as a drug (the smoking of it) because it produces results.
Guys the admin has uploaded another intresting video serie from ABC 20/20 you can find it in the menu and then go to xtra stuff the first part about the economy is very interesting. The other videos are about private highways, school system, legalizing marijuana etc.
marijuana is not legal in Nederlands, it is tolerated and nobody gets upset about its use but it has never been legalised.
The only reason anti-drug laws exist is so that SOME people can make tons of money selling them, politicians can use the drug wars to their advantage etc.alcohol is the more dangerous gateway drug, and it's sold EVERYWHERE ... worldwide!since when does an actor who's done dope movies have any weight?how did he get chosen for this interview anyhow.. was he paid to act?
All I know is it was a lot easier getting marijuana as a kid than alcohol. I'm just sayin.
Drug lords lobby to keep anti-drug laws on the books. That is all you need to know about the drug laws. Lots of money made on both sides, and the consumer pays more and takes most of the risk. Legalize it, educate kids on the dangers (like drinking and smoking) and tax it like cigaretts.
Makes me think of the South Park episode where the all the Baldwin brothers are bombed!
Baldwin should do what Baldwins do best, ACT, not try to become wise politicians because they simply read a newspaper, chose an attractive political issue and shouted out. This is ridiculous. I think that this issue can be easily solved: #1 You cannot say marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco, because it isn't. Check the statistics, there are hundreds of thousands of deaths resulting in every year from tobacco and alcoholism, there has been ZERO registered cases of deaths due to marijuana (one with Bruce Lee was debunked). When did you ever see a marijuanist? I mean the worst a pothead will do is get stoned and fall asleep and buy some chips and eat. Alcohol leads to very aggressive behavior in a lot of people, later to a chronic illness called alcoholism with potential of alcoholism related diseases in their offspring. Cannabis simply doesn't have this effect.Have you ever seen a pothead stab somebody for some weed? Or a pothead smash somebody's head in because they were pissed?Tobacco is TOXIC, nicotine leads to PHYSICAL addiction and is the leading 'legal drug' cause of death in countries around the world. Why is it sold in PHARMACIES like CVS, Rite Aid, etc in Every Town, USA? Doesn't this seem like a hypocrisy? There are violent criminals being released from US jails in California, Arizona and people being put in jail for simply smoking or growing a natural herb as a replacement. Does this make any sense? So to be fair, I propose. Either USA government should ban ALL drugs, everything, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, all hard drugs. All strictly banned and put everyone in jail who has even the tiniest amount.(I wonder how quickly this would collapse) ORLegalize marijuana for medical and personal use, tax it like alcohol and tobacco, make coffee shops which will generate a tremendous tourist business (Look at Holland's income from marijuana) and see drug dealers loose a LOT of business. It's America's choice.
In the netherlands is now a bill before the parlement (european version of the congress) to only sell drugs to dutch citizens because our neighbours are not very happy with the dutch drug laws. A large amount of germans, french etc come here to amsterdam buy the drugs here legal and then take it back home.I think that I am going to support this bill because the only way to ensure freedom of drugs and not look like a drugs manufacturing/trafficking country is to sell it only to dutch citizens.
I think you should not support that bill.. Your neighbouring countries are the ones to blame, they are behind the times. The Netherlands is a beautiful country that is very ahead of the times and no one I know thinks of it poorly. Your neighbours would come up poorly long before you. Not to mention that bill passing would hurt tourism. People around the world want Marijuana and deserve quality products if they so choose, there are enough laws already preventing this.
