we have some pretty good history to look at (talking about the gold standard), we probably need some kind of system where a gold and paper currency are competing, but ofcourse gold will win, but before that happends people will rush into treasury bills, but that bubble is going to pop, all we need to do is follow the constitution

That was very interesting. A gold currency competing with a paper currency. I really wonder how mr Paul would see such a system in a real world scenerio.

ReplyDeleteRed22 He really talks about floating competing currencies allowing them to be freely backed by what they want. Obviously the exchange rate within them would depend on that. Non backed currencies would just disappear.
ReplyDeleteWhat if we don't have a national currency? What if anyone can create a currency and they compete with other currency's just like the world currency's do every day. Why do we need a national currency anyway?
